Category Periodicals
Title A Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Christmas
Year 1986
Country United States
Description Comic spread in the Zest section of the Houston Chronicle newspaper, dated December 21, 1986. As 1986 was the final theatrical release for Song of the South, this particular Christmas they featured the special Disney comic "A Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Christmas!".
Synopsis / Contents Ginny ("Jenny" in this comic) and Johnny write to Santa Claus wishing for snow for Christmas. Uncle Remus tells them a story about Brer Rabbit getting caught by Brer Bear and Brer Fox because they pretend it's snowing by showering grits from a nearby tree and he investigates. When real snow begins falling, he tricks Brer Bear into letting him go by creating a snowman that looks like Santa Claus and projecting his voice to let him go. As the story concludes, it actually starts snowing and all of them see Santa Claus flying above, wishing them all a Merry Christmas.
