1973-1974 marked the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney. As part of the celebration, Disney re-released Song of the South again, both in the U.S and in Europe including the UK, Italy and France. In the U.S. in particular, it was paired up with The Aristocats as a double feature. As with the previous theatrical release just a year earlier, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" is the main focus of the campaign, and even Uncle Remus appears almost animated himself—virtually all traces of the live action aspect of the movie have been removed.
I would consider this release to be the most minor of all the theatrical releases. Very little memorabila or promotional materials are directly tied to this release.
